Did you win the lottery last night?

Years ago I attended a weekend training in Las Vegas. It was a high end mastermind weekend that I paid $10,000 to attend. We stayed at the Palms Hotel, wined and dined at the finest and most exquisite restaurants the town had to offer and spent the days in deep discussion and planning for our lives.

On the first morning I went to the gym at the hotel and was appalled when I was asked to pay $20 to use the facilities. Flabbergasted by the fact that I was already paying $400 a night, I quickly turned and left the gym. Later that day as I was walking through the hotel, which of course was carefully mapped out to have you walk through the casino to reach any destination, I stopped at a slot machine and put a $20 bill into the machine. In less than 5 minutes the $20 was gone and as I looked up beyond the machine I could see the entrance to the gym. Hmmm… $20 dropped in the machine with the ‘hope’ of hitting it big or investing $20 in myself and knowing I was making a sound investment. It was one of those “Ah-Ha” moments when I realized if I bet on myself I will always win. The next morning I went to the gym, happily paid my $20 and had an amazing workout!

Who Will You Honor Today?

My morning rituals include reading, writing, mediating, thinking and creating my day by setting my intentions (which then drive my attention). I share my journal entry with you this morning and encourage you to set your intention and create a space of honoring yourself and those around you.

Today’s Intention: To enjoy and savor the moments and to be a beacon of love, light and creativity.

I honor my children and excitedly await what I will learn from them today.

I honor my time and stay focused on tasks through completion.

I honor my friends by showing love and compassion and practicing verbal harmlessness.

I honor my clients by continuing to learn and grow to be of service to them at my fullest potential.

I honor the WPN community by providing a space for them to connect, grow and flourish.

I honor God by remembering to thank Him for all that I have and to trust Him for all my needs.

I go forth this day knowing that I am filled with an abundance of creativity and magic to share my gifts and talents with others and receive abundant prosperity in return. This is the circle and cycle of life — Giving and Receiving.

Today Is a Gift – What Will You Do With It?

We have the power to create our lives in each moment, it is the moment of choosing. When we choose to create our lives with intentionality, rather than allowing the circumstances that occur to shape our lives, we gain control of the only thing we truly can control — our thoughts.

Choose your thoughts with intention, create each day with expectation of seeing the miracles that are waiting for you to recognize them. In my morning meditation and journaling, I was inspired to share these suggestions with you, so that you can enjoy each moment that TODAY has given you:

T Time is endless and there is plenty of it, feel each moment and know that you will accomplish all you are meant to with grace and ease.

O Order – Everything really is in perfect order (even if it doesn’t feel like it). Look for the lessons and gifts in each moment that add to the fabric of your life.

D Develop yourself, seek out opportunities to expand your awareness and your consciousness.

A Appreciate the gifts you already have and Acknowledge others for their gifts and for adding value to your life.

Y Yippee! Today is a new present to be anticipated with excitement, opened with care and received with gratitude!

Why Women?

I’m often asked “Why is it the Women’s Prosperity Network? Don’t you believe in prosperity for men too?” Yes, I believe in prosperity for men, and in fact, I love and appreciate men!  So the question remains … why women?

     Is it because I am a woman? (I’m sure that’s part of it.)

     Is it because as a working woman and a single mom, finding the balance between family, work and personal enrichment was such a challenge for so long? (I know that’s part of it too and why WPN provides the place for women to “Be Real, Get Real & Achieve Real Results.”)

    Is it because in America women still are paid less than men for doing the same job? (Even though women control 85% of consumer purchases, it would appear that giving women higher pay would help the economy!)

    Is it because in many countries women are still treated like second class citizens, enjoy no liberties or freedom and worse, are the subject of abuse and victimization?

    Of course it is for all those reasons and so many more. On a more personal note, my ‘why’ and mission for empowering women is prompted by a response to the initial women’s liberation movement in the 1970′s. As women began to assert their power, they were viewed, by women as well as men, as too strong and aggressive and perhaps many were.  I recall seeing a seminar for women named “How to be Ambitchous”, now who really wants that?

    My mission is for women to tap into their power as women, not women trying to act like men. We all know full well that men and women are different, and these differences are wonderful.  It is time for us as women, to tap into our power – as women, to appreciate men for who they are and together create an amazing harmonious world!

Wrapping Up 2010 and Creating Your Ideal 2011

This is the time of year when not only are we wrapping presents, we are wrapping up 2010 and setting goals for 2011. A process of examining what went well, what didn’t go so well and looking at what we’d like to create in the year to come. During this time of reflection and goal setting, be sure to spend more time focusing on your successes rather than your perceived ‘misses’. What may appear as a big mistake may in fact be a stepping stone to the perfect solution (you’ve already figured out several ways not to do something!) Focusing on your successes (in all areas of your life) and the feelings of excitement, pride, joy and love that you experience will set the stage for creation of your goals and ideals for 2011!

Your faith and commitment, with the support and encouragement of others will get you through those tough and frightening times. This is NOT the time for us to sit back and do nothing. This IS the time for us to join forces, tap into each others talents and resources and take charge of our lives and our destiny!
